The
doctrines of the Church are reflected in what we believe and teach: In
the plenary-verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of scriptures as originally
given and the infallibility, inerrancy of the scriptures, both Old and New
testaments which are the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and
conduct (2Tim 3:16; 1Cor 2:13); In
the eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as One God existing in three
persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit - distinguishable but indivisible (Mt
28:19; 2Cor 13:14); In
the creation, test and the fall of man as recorded in Genesis; In
the Deity of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless
life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, His bodily
resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal,
literal and bodily return in power and glory (1Cor 15:1-4; Jn 14:2-3; 1Th
4:13-18); In
the salvation of sinners by grace through repentance and faith in the perfect
and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary; In
the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of the eternal Godhead
(Mt 28:19); In
the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a real experience at or subsequent to
salvation with the scriptural evidence of speaking in tongues as the Holy Spirit
gives the utterance (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46); In
the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as enumerated in 1Cor 12 12-14; In
participating in the Lord's supper; In
the sanctified life without which no man shall see the God; In
divine healing provided for in the atonement and available to all that truly
believe; In
the personality of the devil, eternal judgement in the lake of fire for the
devil and his angels (Mt 25:41; Rev 20:14); In
the eternal life for the believers; and, eternal damnation for the unbelievers. |
